Glazed Brussels and Bacon

This may sound weird, but I absolutely love brussel sprouts! If they’re cooked the right way, in sweet honey, tangy vinegar and bathed in bacon, it’s heaven on a plate. So I guess I shouldn’t say I love brussel sprouts, just THESE brussel sprouts.

The great thing about this dish is that it take minutes to throw together. Stir it a few times and 10ish minutes later you have a flavorful side dish.

Make It!
  • 3 strips bacon (preferably pasture raised)
  • 1 bag or 2 cups of brussel sprouts, fresh or frozen
  • 2 Tbsp Maple Syrup or Honey
  • 2 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp Sea salt
  1. Cut the bacon into 1/2 inch strips. Cut brussel sprouts in half for a more intense flavor (optional)
  2. Place all ingredients in a skillet over medium low heat. Stir to coat brussel sprouts.
  3. Stir occasionally until the bacon is thoroughly cooked and the brussel sprouts are tender.

*Note- If you don’t like cooking in bacon grease, simply brown the bacon first, discard grease and remove bacon from pan. Increase honey and vinegar to 3 Tbsp each.
